Orlando Wedding Photographer

Most couples hire a wedding photographer by looking at a portfolio. That tells you how the photos look. It does not tell you what it is like to have that person in the room for ten hours on the biggest day of your life.
So here is the part the portfolio cannot show you.
I shoot weddings across Orlando and Central Florida, and I have carried a camera through days at resort ballrooms, lakefront lawns, a family backyard, and one castle on the coast of Scotland. The approach is the same everywhere. I stay close, I stay out of the way, and I give you easy things to do instead of stiff poses to hold.
You will not have to perform. You just have to get married. I will handle the rest.
What You Are Actually Hiring
A wedding day has about two hundred small moments and maybe fifteen big ones. Anyone can photograph the fifteen. The difference is what happens in between.
Your grandmother fixing your collar. Your dad seeing the dress for the first time. The friend who cries during the toast before the toast even starts. Those are the photos you will pull up ten years from now, and they only exist if the photographer is paying attention when nobody else is.
That is the job. Timeless, candid, and shot to look like the day felt rather than like a magazine spread you had to hold still for.
Formal photos still happen. Family groupings, the two of you, the wedding party. We get every one, quickly and without a headache, so you can get back to your guests.
Where I Have Photographed Weddings
Couples searching for a wedding photographer usually want proof you have worked their venue, or at least one like it. Fair enough.
I have shot weddings at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, Bella Cosa in Lake Wales, Lavender on the Lake, the Kissimmee Lakefront Park wedding lawn, Sterling Event Venue in Minneola, Casani Estates, and Culzean Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland. Add to that a long list of engagement and elopement sessions in downtown Winter Garden, Winter Park, Lake Louisa State Park and Bok Tower Gardens.
If your venue is not on that list, tell me where it is. I do exhaustive research of the venue prior to the wedding, so by the time your day arrives it doesn't feel like new anymore.
How the Collections Work
Three collections, priced as starting points, because no two wedding days are the same length or shape.
Silver starts at $2,199 and covers up to 6 hours. One photographer. Best for a ceremony plus a short reception, or a smaller wedding where the whole day fits in an afternoon.
Platinum starts at $2,799 and covers up to 8 hours with two photographers, plus $100 toward an engagement session. This is the one most full-day weddings actually need.
Diamond starts at $3,599 and covers up to 10 hours with two photographers, includes your engagement session, and adds a $100 credit toward prints or an album.
Every collection includes professional editing and an online gallery you can share, download from, and order prints through. Add-ons for the rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, engagement party, bachelorette, and a wedding highlights video start at $200.
The full breakdown, including content creation add-ons with ready-to-post reels, is on the wedding packages page.
Every Photo Is Yours. All of Them.
This is the part I say out loud because most photographers do not.
You get high-resolution files of every good photo from the day, professionally edited, and there is no cap on how many you can download. Some photographers deliver a set number and charge for the rest. I do not. Download ten or download six hundred. Your wedding, your call.
Your full gallery is finished within four weeks of the wedding, and I usually beat that.
Small Weddings and Elopements
Not every wedding needs ten hours and two photographers. Some of the best days I have photographed were twelve people on a lawn, or two people and a courthouse and a very good lunch afterward.
Elopements and small weddings are quoted individually, because a two-hour elopement in Winter Park and a six-hour backyard wedding in Clermont are not the same thing and should not be priced like they are. Tell me the plan and I will send you a real number.
Weddings Outside Orlando
Central Florida is home, but I travel. Tampa, the Gulf beaches, Sarasota, Jacksonville, and further when the day calls for it. A travel fee applies for locations outside the Orlando metro area, quoted up front so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Destination and out-of-state weddings get their own pricing. If you are planning one, reach out early. The good dates go first.
Se Habla Español
Every wedding I photograph is available in English or Spanish. If your families speak both, I will move between them all day without anyone having to translate for the photographer. It matters more than people expect, especially during family formals when Abuela needs to know where to stand.
What Couples Say
“David and LaTorrance are an incredible team. They captured my wedding so beautifully and made sure to include all the little details. I am honored that they were a part of my special day and will use them in the future for any special moments!”
SYDNEY + MARIO · GOOGLE REVIEW
“I must admit I've been crushing over my wedding pictures! A wise woman once told me if you elope or have a micro wedding you still need a professional photographer. I found David Stella on Instagram after a friend of mine shared one of his reels, I followed the account and when our moment arrived, David Stella responded quickly. We are beyond grateful for the memories captured - THANK YOU for pictures that will last a lifetime!”

Questions Couples Ask Before Booking
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book eight to fourteen months out. Peak months in Orlando are October through April, and Saturdays in those months go first. If your date is within six months, message me today rather than tomorrow.
Do we need a second photographer?
For a ceremony and reception with more than about 75 guests, yes. One photographer cannot be with the groom and the bride while they get ready in different rooms, and cannot cover the aisle and the guests' faces at the same time. Platinum and Diamond include the second shooter for exactly that reason.
How many hours do we really need?
Eight is the honest answer for most full weddings. Six works when the ceremony and reception are at the same place and you are not doing a grand exit. Ten is for days with a long gap, a first look, two locations, or a big reception you want covered to the end.
Do you help with the timeline?
Yes, and I would rather help early than fix it on the day. Once you book we will go over the schedule together so there is enough light for portraits and enough time that nobody is running.
What if it rains?
It is Central Florida, so we plan for it. Every venue has a spot that works when the sky opens up, and I will have already found it. Some of the best portraits I have made were taken in the fifteen minutes after a storm passed.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
A retainer holds your date and the balance is due before the wedding. Written notice at least 3 days before the date is required to cancel or reschedule. Full terms are in the contract, which you will see before you pay anything.
Do we get the copyright?
David Stella Photography keeps the copyright, and you get full personal-use rights. Print them, share them, frame them, post them. The only thing you cannot do is sell them.
More questions are answered on the FAQ page.
